| If you ever find a little laugh, Don't you ever let it go, Put it in your pocket, And make sure it doesn't show.
Don't you dare give it away, Even to your best friend, You cannot spend this precious laugh, You must save it till the end.
Hide it far from everyone, Don't let anybody see, Keep it secret, keep it hidden, And don't you use it, let it be.
Even if you feel unwell, Or you cannot help but cry, Don't you use that little laugh, For only once it laughs, and dies.
But rather, keep it in the dark, And guard it with your life, Even when you cannot bear, The struggle and the strife.
Surely it won't be easy, Indeed it will be tough, But hold fast and do not use it, Even when times get rough.
For one day you will meet a girl, And you will know it's her, For to you she'll mean all the world, Your heart will surely stir.
And she will one day lose her laugh, As broken as can be, And then you'll get your little laugh, And be glad you listened to me.

| Nice guys always finish last, But sometimes, I disagree, To the finish, nice guys last, That's more correct to me.
But honestly that really has, No truth regarding me, It doesn't apply cause I'm an ass, As you already see.
I have a lot of selfish pride, I always want what's right, It's only because I want to hide, My weakness in my might.
I have this fatal flaw you see, A malfunction in my mind, I cannot seem to leave her be, Though she's left me behind.
I wait around, so foolishly, In hope, in faith, in dreams, Still, she doesn't notice me, She has someone, it seems.
I remember now, the things I've heard, About her truer love, And now I have been reassured, Of whom she's thinking of.
If only I was more than friend, Even a back-up plan, But here, I'll make my feelings end, Go to the better man.
I wish it were for me that you, Were so wonderfully created, But no good to dwell on what's untrue, Only friends, we're fated.
And life goes on.

| Oh the glory and joy of life, Oh the leisure of love, Oh how blithely I smile today, Oh see how happy and gay.
Look here and see me I laugh out loud, I welcome sunny days, They're warm and friendly to everyone, Those warm and friendly rays.
Life is always good and pleasant! We laugh, we drink, we love. Everything is fun, fun, fun, In fields of flowers we run.
What a wonderful, beautiful world, Where problems just melt away! I have no stress, no real duress, On this beautiful summer day.
Let's all run around and climb up trees, Doesn't that just sound like a blast?
We'll play games like hide and seek, You seek and I will hide,
Oops I died.

| Oh have I been so cleverly deceived, By my own heart, For what it yearned to believe.
But I have now been painfully retrieved, By reality's chain, From what I dreamed to achieve.
Aching heart now put to rest, All is done now for the best.

| Hope prevails, So they say In fairy tale books and stories of princesses marrying princes, and happily ever after.
Hope is quintessential, For the survival of the hopeless, For they have nothing but hope, And their only fill is hopeful, Hoping to fill their nothing Hoping to fill their hopeless But really having nothing But hope.
Life is resilient to hope, Hope for sunshine does not stop the rain, Fools will hope in the rain, And curse that they are wet. I do not hope so I am waterproof.
Hope is an illusion, Hope does not alter reality, Hope alters the perception of reality, Skewing it and bending it, And essentially making one blind. Because in hoping, I gouge my eyes to ignore the truth.
But the truth is, She doesn't love you.
The fairy tale continued, And the Narrator wrote of my fall, But I refused Him and stood tall, Saying, "I never loved her at all!"
